No two Goddess Gardens are alike!

Here at Goddess Gardens, our number one goal is to create both beautiful and functional gardens. In the consultation process, we will look at the space that you have and get to know what you like and don’t like, what your goals are, and decide on a budget. Your Goddess Garden will be customized to you. If you love butterflies, there are specific plants to attract them. If you cook with a lot of fresh herbs, we can incorporate an herb garden. If you don’t like tomatoes, they won’t go in your garden (although eating a tomato right off the vine in your backyard may change your mind!). Your Goddess Garden won’t just be pretty to look at, it will be filled with the things that you love in a style that suits you.

Gardens Designed and Built with Mindful Garden Practices

Gardening with a purpose involves mindfully and intentionally choosing each product that goes into your garden. When you harvest squash, radishes, or artichokes from your garden and use them to feed your family in your kitchen just steps away, you have complete control over the quality of the seed, what it’s been fertilized with, and the lifecycle of the plant. That’s why the materials used are always chosen to honor you, honor the plants, and honor the environment.

 What goes into…

The Design and Build of a Goddess Garden?

A Healthy Foundation

  • Fertilizer

    • Either worm castings, which are super healthy for the plants, or organic fish fertilizer.

  • Compost

    • Locally sourced and organic compost.

  • Irrigation

    • If your budget allows it, our trusted irrigation team will fully irrigate your Goddess Garden so you won’t have to manage daily watering duty.

Mindfully-Chosen Seeds

  • High-Quality Seeds

    • High-quality fruits and vegetables can only come from high-quality seeds. We recommend and use only non-genetically modified seeds and seek out open-pollinated seed varieties to ensure a consistent growth, taste, and harvest year after year.

  • Arizona Native Seeds

    • Our primary seed source is all grown and cultivated here in Arizona. Our secondary seed source gets seeds from all over the world, which if you choose seeds from a place with a similar climate it will typically grow well here. You can pretty much grow anything in Arizona if you do it at the right time of year.

Garden Box Materials Built to Last

  • Cedar or Redwood for Garden Boxes

    • Cedar and redwood are denser woods with natural oils that make them fungi and pest-resistant. They also last about 20 years in the elements, so your garden is built to last. Regular pine and most other woods commonly used only last five to seven years.

  • Galvanized Rods for Garden Boxes

    • Most of the metal used to build or support garden boxes will be of galvanized material to prevent rust and support long-term durability. In certain situations, non-galvanized rods may be used for taller support structures. In these cases, while rusting may minimally affect the long-term durability, it does not impact vegetable growth or health.

The one thing about gardening is that it’s all trial and error, and we keep that in mind through the entire design and build process for your garden.

You and your neighbor could plant a garden on opposite sides of the fence and have a completely different experience. So, you and Jen will learn and grow together what works and what doesn’t in your space. But, the one consistent and most important thing to set you up for success are the choices you make for seeds, fertilizer, and compost.
